Staddlestones is a modern bungalow set back from the road in the middle of the picturesque cotswold village of Grittleton. With a large garden, patio and views over open countryside, it is ideally placed for touring, many sporting events or shopping. There is ample carparking.

    We have three comfortable bedrooms, two double and a twin.

    None are en-suite, but we have a large family sized bathroom, and further toilet, for the exclusive use of our guests. All rooms have 'Freeview' television, CD/DVD player and tea/coffee making facitlities.

          

    There is a guest sitting room and a large garden and patio area which may be used when the weather is fine.

       

    Well behaved children and dogs are welcome.

     

    Situated between junctions 17 and 18 of the M4 motorway, we are the perfect base for exploring this beautiful part of England.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           

    Location:

    Bath, Castle Combe, Lacock, Stonehenge, Avebury, the Wiltshire White Horses and National Trust properties are on our doorstep.

     

    Marlborough, Bristol, Cirencester and Cheltenham are within 1 hour’s drive.

     

    Racing at Bath, Cheltenham and Chepstow; Horse Trials at Badminton and Gatcombe are all under 1 hour away.

      

    Motor racing and golf at Castle Combe, 5 minutes, plus 10 other golf courses nearby.

    There are many wonderful walks and cycle routes in the area.

      

    As well as the restaurants, cinemas and theatres of nearby towns and cities, there are several excellent pubs and restaurants in the surrounding villages.

      

    How to find us:

    The village of Grittleton is just north of the M4 motorway between junctions 17 and 18. We can be located using Google maps by typing in 'Staddlestones B&B'.

    From junction 17, take the A429 north towards Cirencester for 400 yards, then turn left and follow the signposts to Grittleton. [approx 3 ½ miles]. As you approach the village turn in right between two stone pillars by the first house, approx. 100 yards beyond the 30 mph speed limit sign.

     

    From junction 18, take the A46 north towards Stroud for 300 yards, then turn right to Acton Turville. In this village turn right, taking the B4039 towards Chippenham, through Burton to The Gibb. Turn left at the Salutation Inn to Grittleton. Go through the village and turn left between the pillars by the last house. If you reach the village hall, you have gone too far.

    Staddlestones is the bungalow set back from the road, 50 yards up the drive on the left hand side.

     By rail and bus:

     

    The mainline train and bus stations at Chippenham are 7 miles. Taxis are readily available.

     

    Tariffs:

     

    Our standard tariff is £30 per person per night for two people sharing a room or £40 for single occupancy.

    This includes either a full English or continental breakfast.

     

    We reserve the right to increase our tariff for the week of the Badminton Horse Trials and over the Christmas and New Year period.

     

    Reductions may be made for extended stays.

     

    Unfortunately we cannot accept credit or debit cards and payment must be made by cash or cheque.

    A deposit would normally be due on booking.
