After many years working in wool and other fibres, I started weaving with silk several years ago when I discoveried the wonderful colours and shades that could be achieved using SILK, the 'Queen of Fibres'. Silk can be both warm in winter and cool in summer. It can be a strong but soft textured yarn and takes both subtle and vibrant colours. The natural sheen of the best quality yarns adds to the dimension of any woven product.
Each Item I produce is individual, the basic weave pattern or change of weft colour ensuring that no two are alike. Only a representative few of the scarves, shawls and cushions that I have woven can be seen on this site but more can be viewed, along with the weaving and braiding kits that I have designed, on the Flickr link.
I produce a range of weaving and braid making kits as well as greetings cards. These too can be seen in the Flickr album.
