I was baptised in Linwood Parish in April 1956. I emmigrated to New Zealand with my parents in 1962 and haven't been back since. It looks like the buildng has been knocked down and rebuilt. Good luck Linwood. Rev. H Osbourne, United Free Ebenzeer Reformed Church, Calgary.

Just wanted to add a message of welcome to our new minister Eileen Ross, and to say a fond 'Au Revoir' to Tom MacFarlane. We hope Eileen will be very happy in her new position for many years to come and we hope Tom will come back to visit us !

Hello Erin, I'm Norma the new Church Officer. You don't know me, but I know who you are and I am glad that you come to Linwood Parish Church. I know your Gran too because I work with her in the Cafe on Fridays. We have loads of laughs and great fun. I don't know if you have ever come to the Cafe, but, if you get the chance, pop in and see us. The Cafe provides money to do a lot of good things in the Church and all the helpers deserve a big thank you for putting their time and effort into making it a success.

I am delighted to see that Linwood Parish Church has a web site. My father belonged to Linwood, and was baptised by Rev. J.A.Abernethy. I was last in Linwood at my Aunt's funeral in 1984. I live south of the border in Northamptonshire and I am an elder in St. Ninian's Church, which is a CofS, within the presbytery of England. I will certainly visit your site again.

A father was reading Bible stories to his young son. He read, "The man named Lot was warned to take his wife and flee out of the city, but his wife looked back and was turned into a pillar of salt." His son asked, "What happened to the flea?"

Thought for each day: Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and discover they were really the big things.

Worth a thought. There is so much good in the worst of us and so much bad in the best of us that it hardly becomes any of us to talk about the rest of us.

Could I take this opportunity to remind everyone about the' World Day of Prayer which takes place at St. Conval's Church at 7.30pm on Friday, 2nd March. This service has been written by the women of Paraguay and is hosted jointly by the women of the Guild and the Union of Catholic Mothers. Many thanks to Peter, our Organist, for kindly offering to play the music. All are welcome and light refreshments will be available after the service.

Just heard about the site to-night and have been having a look. Most impressed and hope to see it go from strength to strength. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Eddie and the members of the Congregation for installing the new ramp and making the Church truly wheelchair friendly.
