If for any reason you want to take your mini-web offline, you can do so via your control panel.

- I haven't got CD gift with activation code, what do I do?

You will then be given an activation code so that you can start making your mini-web, via the “Make a mini-web now!” page.
- Why can't I see my mini-web site listed on the mini-web gallery
A:
As a means of ensuring our customers' privacy and protection, we make the assumption that you do not want your mini-web listed on the mini-webs site gallery; however, it is really easy to change this if you're happy for your site to be listed here.
- Go to 'Manage my mini-web' in your control panel
- Click on 'Site privacy options'
- At the bottom of the pop-up box it will say 'Your mini-web is not currently being listed on the main mini-web website'
- Click on 'Show my mini-web'
- Press the 'Close' button
Your mini-web will then be listed on the main mini-webs site gallery. If you don't want to be listed here, then you can always use the email editor to tell your friends and family about your mini-web. If you use the email editor in the control panel and you choose one of the existing templates, the web link will automatically be shown in the email.
- Are there any step-by-step instructions?
Managing, editing and updating a mini-web
- What if I want to edit the content at any stage?
A:
When you register for your personalised mini-web, you will be sent an email which provides details of your access to your Control Panel. From your control panel, you can edit / update any part of your mini-web at any time. You can also enhance it with features at any time, plus change your account details, add password protection if necessary and renew your account, all via your control panel.
- I have password protected my site – does this mean it can't be viewed?
A:
We have given you the facility to make your mini-web site safer and more secure by password protecting it. This option can be accessed when you login, in the 'Manage my mini-web' section. You will be asked to assign a password so that your mini-web can only be viewed by the people who know your mini-web address and the password for it. It will not be available in the public domain unless you decide to remove the password.
If you have told friends, family and colleagues about your mini-web via the email editor in your control panel (“Tell people about your mini-web”), they will be sent the password in order to view your mini-web.
- I need to close my mini-web
A:
If for any reason you want to take your mini-web offline, you can do so via your control panel. You'll find the instruction under the section 'Managed my mini-web'.
- I can not access parts of my mini-web control panel

To activate your mini-web, simply insert your CD into the CD drive of your computer. You will automatically be taken to an activation page. With your CD gift you will find your activation code printed on the CD holder. Enter the activation code in the box and press Go. You will be taken to the mini-webs site where you follow the simple on-screen prompts to create your own mini-web.
- I've received a gift certificate, what do I do?

To activate your mini-web, long on to

- How do I use the colour selector?
A:
There are 2 options that you can use on the Colour Selector; 'make my own colour (HEX/RGB values)' and 'make my own colour (colour Intensity/Tone).
HEX / RGB values: this option allows you to select the HEX colour value. Simply move the cursor over each of the Red, Green & Blue bars until the correct numeric value is displayed below then click the bar to select. Click 'OK' when all 3 channels have been done.
Colour Intensity / Tone: this option allows you to change a colour's tonal strength. With one eye on the 'new' colour box below firstly select the colour's basic hue from the spectrum and click the bar. Then, secondly, you choose the intensity of the colour you want, either bright or subdued. Thirdly, determine how light or dark you want the colour to be. Click 'OK' when all 3 channels have been done.

- My activation code doesn't work

If you bought your mini-web as a CD gift pack from a retailer, you should take your gift pack back to the store where you bought it.
If you have bought a mini-web online, please
contact us quoting your activation code. We can check whether it has been used and send a new one if necessary. Please note that activation codes can only be used once.
- What size of image can I upload?
A:
We recommend that you do not try to upload images larger than 1 MB. Although your images will be automatically resized (640 x 480), they may look clearer and/or upload faster if you resize them yourself.
