DESPAIR

DESPAIR is that experienced by those who are homeless, sleeping rough. A high proportion of which are ex forces or ex prisoners. ImagIne NOT being able to; Sleep when you want. Enjoy your family. Have hot Water. Wash and cook when you want. Have medical attention from your family G.P. Go to the toilet when you want. Have food and shelter. Abscence of these things is actually total and abject poverty, third world conditions in the U.K.  

The homeless often do not enjoy the basics of humanity. When you get up in the winter and see the frost remember, someone has slept out in that cold. Someone has died in the frost. Many homeless get drunk- that is something which often dulls their pain and helps them sleep, and forget for a few hours. The may beg aggresively, but they are often desperate. 

Someone said, 'We are all only three pay cheques away from being homeless'- thats sleeping in the street. Imagine being in the above situation, then imagine you are taken ill, hopefully nothing serious, but it soon will be without food, shelter and treatment. Who wants to know a smelly unkept dirty vagrant? The Doctors do not usually want them in thier surgery. Where do they go? Once you are in the gutter it is hard to climb out, you need help.

The above is just a little taste on how many are living a life of DESPAIR . Why this web site? I want you to think about how you can help. Just a pound donated would help. Don't make judgements, and try to give some kindness to those who would love to have a warm bed and shelter tonight.
