From: BB DISPLAY 6TH MAY 2010/2011 SESSION
The 4th Falkirk Boys Brigade Held its Annual Awards Night last Friday at FOSM in the heart of the Town Centre, our 32nd Display. The Colours were carried in by Cpl Greg Neary and was assisted by Craig Maxwell and Adam Walker. Thanks to our Chaplain for presenting badges and Mrs I Sarle for dealing with the mics and powerpoint presentations. Our Anchor Boys performed A Cue Balance, Junior Section Figure Marching, Company Section building a tent. All members done extremely well and the following boys were presented: The Following Boys have achieved : GREEN BADGE AND ONE YEAR SERVICE BADGE: CALUM GRAY,CALLUM WATTERS, DALEY SMITH, JOHN WATTERS, GABRIEL GRAY, GREG MCCULLOCH, HARRIS MCKAY, LEWIS BROWN, LUCAS MCLUCKIE, KIERAN PROCTOR. KEEGAN WALKER, ROBBIE MCMANUS, ROSS MCULLOCH. ROSS MACKIE. 2 YEAR SERVICE AND BLUE BADGE. RYAN PURYS GILLON, CAMERON MCCORMICK. The Following Boys just joined us and were awarded Bb Anchor Boy Fun Badges. ROSS MACKIE, STUART CANNING. Moving up to Junior Section next session are: CAMERON MCCORMICK. RYAN PURYS GILLON, LEWIS ANDREW BROWN, KEEGAN PATRICK WALKER. JUNIOR SECTION BADGES: TARGET , BRONZE AND 1 YEAR SERVICE BADGE were JAMIE STEPHEN, KIERAN STEPHEN, SOL MACMILLAN TARGET , BRONZE AND 2 YEARS SERVICE BADGE CONNOR DIXON. TARGET & BRONZE & 3 YR SERVICE BADGE DANIEL THOMSON, JAMES MORRISON, KYLE NEARY SILVER BADGE & 2 YR SERVICE BADGE ANDREW WILSON, CONNOR DIXON SILVER BADGE * 4 YR SERVICE BADGE - JOHN KEMP, LEWIS WILSON, MARC WHITE. GOLD BADGE & 5 YR SERVICE: CAMERON CALLAGHAN, DEVIN MCKAY Boys not long with us, were presented Junior Section Fun Badge- Aidan McManus, Corey Nairns., Lee McGill, Thomas Beattie. PROMOTIONS:to Leading boy: Keiran Stephen, John Kemp. Kyle Neary, Andrew Wilson and John Kempwere presented with swimming Trophies for taking part in swimming competition and reaching finals.Moving up to Company Section are ANDREW WILSON, CAMERON CALLAGHAN, DEVIN MCKAY, THOMAS BEATTIE. Jim Steel Trophy went to John Kemp. Company Section. BADGES LEVEL 1 IN SKILLS, RECREATION, COMMUNITY,COMPASS: RHYS WATTERS. KIERAN ROSS, ROSS HAMILTON , 6 YR SERVICE. BADGES LEVEL 2 IN SKILLS, REC, COMMUNITY,DISCOVERY, 7 YR SERVICE. AIDAN SMITH , ROBBIE MCCORMICK. LEVEL 4 – RECREATION, COMMUNITY 9 YR SERVICE CRAIG MAXWELL. LEVEL 4 – SKILLS ADAM WALKER 10 Years. Greg Neary 11 Yr service. Promotion to LCPl Craig Maxwell, Adam Walker and Greg Neary to SGT. Adam Walker received the second highest award within the movement, the Presidents Badge. Craig Maxwell received best drill boy. Greg Neary Table Tennis 2nd Place Individual league and 4th Falkirk Table Tennis Player for the 4th Yr. Greg Neary picked up McChesney Ttrophy for outstanding leadership for his age. Best Uniformed squad went to Squad 2 under Craig Maxwell. Table Tennis Trophies went to Greg,Craig,Rhys,Ross,aidan and Robbie who came in 6th in the league this year. This Weekend the Company has a busy time ahead, the Anchor and Junior Section will be visiting Glasgow science Centre boys to meet at Hallglen School for 10.15am, full details can be found on our website. The Company Section to meet at Hallglen School on the Sunday at 10.15am.

4th Falkirk Boys Brigade held its 31st Annual Presentation Night last Friday in Falkirk Old & St Modans Parish Church, it was a great night, our guest of honor was the Rev David Anderson , Chaplain to Black Watch and his Wife Sharon, the colours were paraded in by SGT Alexander Walker and was assisted by Dale Maxwell and LCPL Greg Neary. During the night Mrs Isabel Sarle run our Power Point Presentation, big thanks for all her hard work in getting the hymns, photos on the screens, Morag McKay for controlling the microphones and of course our BB Chaplain Robert Allan. It was a night of cheers and cries, as it saw the leaving of Mr Andrew Christie Warrant Officer after 3 years service and Mrs Shona Penman as full time officer after many years of faithfull service, we wish them all the very best and hugh thanks again from all the boys who have learned so much from you and congradulations to Mr Greg White for completing the officers training course. Top Awards- 2nd Highest Award went to LCPL Jamie Bowman and LCPL Greg Neary, Highest Award , the Queens Badge went to Dale Maxwell and SGT ALexander Walker. Promotions: From Non-Rank to Lcpl Jamie Bowman, Cpl to SGt Alex Walker, and Sgt to Staff Sgt Christopher Hepburn The Queens Badge, the highest award a boy can receive was presented to Christopher Hepburn. The colours at our Awards Night were carried by Christopher Hepburn and was assisted by Jamie Bowman and Alex Walker. Thanks also goes to Mary Johnstone, Janette Cant, Derek Cant who made the effort to come along to our 30th Display and special thanks to Rev David Anderson, former member who is currently serving in Black Watch in Afghanstan for his email wishing all the boys an enjoyable night. The section is now on holiday until August, thanks to Mrs Hogarth, Mr Christie, Mr Steel, Mrs Penman, Christopher Hepburn, Mrs Kemp, Mr Kemp, Mrs Smith, Mr Smith , Rev R Allan for all there help in running the BBS in Hallglen this session and to the Falkirk Herald for printing our weekly items

Bill McChesney Trophy for Leadership went to Cpl Christopher Hepburn. CS Table Tennis Player of the Year Greg Neary. Alex Walker Best Drilled Boy. Adam Walker - Best Uniformed Boy. Promotions went to Christopher Hepburn and Alex Walker. Colour Party this year was Cpl Christopher Hepburn (carrying colours) and was assisted by Jamie Bowman and LCPl Alex Walker. == Saturday we had a Successful Family Day Outing to M & D Theme Park, weather was great, parents behaved, Boys enjoyed the rides, thanks to Alan - the driver from Dewars Coaches for being so helpful and professional. Finally thanks to all Parents, Friends and Staff , the Falkirk Herald (for publishing our items) for your support, Boys have a great summer holiday and we look forward to seeing you back in August for our 30th Year
